Dawn is having her 1st school concert in this coming Saturday and she has been showing us some of what she had learnt.
Check this out!
We have a voucher for a free set lunch at Prego due to OCBC credit card promotion and it’s going to expire end of Nov 2010. As such, we decided to have a quiet Saturday lunch when Dawn is still at my mom’s place.
Dear chose the set lunch that cost $40 ++ and I took the free set lunch.
They served us a big bread with salsa sauce.
And the sauce is so nice that I finished them :p
I can’t get what the waitress called this soup as, but it’s very nice! It taste like potato soup but I think it’s more than that.
My free set came with a starter and we chose the mushroom starter but I didn’t quite like it. Maybe it’s cold and sour…
My set main dish, chicken breast meat…looks small on the big plate!
Dear’s main dish looks more delicious than mine. The mash potato is nice, maybe because I like potatoes now..haha!
My pathetic fruit platter… 🙁
Dear’s desert – Panna Cotta. Dear loves Panna Cotta and I promised that I will try making for him when we have our own house 🙂
Nov is the month of Our anniversary! Not wedding anniversary, but our dating one 😀
We don’t need fanciful presents, but I definitely want some quality couple time together.
Since we are both on leave for our baby detailed scan, we planned to have a relaxing afternoon tea in L’Espresso @ Goodwood Park Hotel. Dear wanted to go Shangri la, but because I think the walking journey will tired me out, so I decided to go to Goodwood Park instead. We shall try Shangri La next time!
I love the savories and dear love the sweets. So I ate alot of sandwiches while he ate scorns and tarts. You should be able to guess which plate is whose… 😀
We can chose 2 drinks each and I chose the hot coffee. Dear had his tea to go with the sweets.
Look at the pretty tea set!!
And I ordered the Chamomile Tea after I finished the coffee.
It’s quite a relaxing afternoon, with good drinks and good companion. Hope we have the opportunity to do it again!
After a seem-to-be forever all-day sickness, my appetite went back to normal and I can finally eat!
So we have my belated birthday gathering with the guys. This time, we went to Hyang To Gol Korean Restaurant at Amara Hotel.
We were served with the side dishes after we had placed our orders. Didn’t quite enjoy the side dishes as compared to Jang Shou.
How can we miss the meat? However, the pork belly was a disappointment. A little too hard to my standard.
But the seasoned pork is super nice! So if you are going to order the meat, this is a must try!
The vegetables to go with the meat..didn’t take any of these because was worried that they are not cleaned or fresh. Can’t take any chances now…
And how can we miss out the kimchii soup? It was not that spicy, maybe because of my changed taste buds after being pregnant. I wished it was hotter!
This is my serving of the Kimchii soup.
And my bowl of food…
We also ordered the spicy tofu soup which was recommended by alot of reviews. Yes, it’s nice! I should say that it’s nicer than the kimchii soup. But of cos, it can be hotter!
I also ordered the rice cake soup for Dawn. Quite tasty and nice!
And the korean sushi, can’t remember the korean name..
And after we finished our food, the waitress gave us a free drink. It’s very refreshing and sweet!
Was a little disappointed with the food because it seems not spicy enough 😀 But it could be my changed tastebuds. However, the waitresses are very prompt with their service and help us to cook the meat. They are also very attentive, for example, one of the waitresses offer to cut the cooked meat to smaller pieces for Dawn. 🙂
Dawn finally went to the potty to do her big business! We were so thrilled! We had been trying to get her to shit at the potty or the toilet for months, but she insisted to shit in the diaper. After a diarrhoea incident in the school, she finally decided to go to the potty to do the business instead!
So, as promised to her, we brought her to the mall and let her chose her little reward.
And it’s a playground playset! The box looks compact and I thought it was a small model size. But it’s of a huge size when we fix all up!
And it looks very much to be a fun playground to go. No wonder Dawn loves the toy so much!
We brought a new swimming costume for Dawn after she grew out of the swimming costume which Moo Moo Ah Yee brought for her.
Look at Dawn! She was so excited!!
Daddy brought her down to the swimming pool first, while I waited for my sis and brother-in-law. When I went down and saw both of them at the pool, Dawn was at the side of the pool playing with water using her feet. Daddy said that she did not want to go down to the pool despite encouragement.
I can’t remember what I said to Dawn after hearing that, but I only said one sentence / comment, and Dawn immediately went into the pool. Daddy stared at me with disbelief. Haha!
Dawn enjoyed the pool time and she said she wants to be back again!
Who else but my little Dawn?
During my saga of all-day-sickness, she’s so sweet that you cannot imagine that this 3.5 years old girl really seems to understand what’s going on.

Me : (the feeling starts building up at my throat)
Me : Dawn, quick, potty!
Dawn : (lifts her head up from what’s she was playing, stood up and ran into the bedroom)
Dawn : Mummy here (ran to me with a potty)
**********************************************************
Me : (Made that awful puking sound)
Dawn : Mummy it’s ok one, don’t worry ok? (sayang me on my shoulder)
**********************************************************
Me : (Lying on the bed, rubbing the tummy because the feeling was so awful)
Dawn : Mummy, baby naughty again ah?
Me : Ya
Dawn : (shouting) Baby! Don’t bully mummy!!
**********************************************************
Dawn : Daddy, I want to go gai gai
Daddy : Mummy not feeling well, we stay at home ok? We go gai gai when mummy is better
The few weekends after that, Dawn did not ask for gai gai anymore. Very understanding girl hor?
**********************************************************
A few weeks later…
Dawn : (Looked up from what she was doing suddenly) Mummy, you ok already?
Me : Yes, much better than last few weeks
Dawn : Orh (Went back to what she was doing)
Me : Dawn, why?
Dawn : (Flashed a big smile) Yeah, can go swimming already!

What more can we ask?
Hey, I am back! Couldn’t bring myself to type anything here all these while…no energy, no motivation, no anything…
Good news is, we are expecting to see our “Junior 2nd” in Apr next year! 😀 And that explains my MIA, and my condition.
Nothing else to describe but only – BAD. Bad morning ALL DAY sickness, bad headaches, bad fainting spells, bad insomnia. It’s just bad.
Oh ya, and bad sensitive nose that makes me start puking almost everytime..and that includes the cooking smell, the western food smell, the bad breath, fish smell etc.
I was admitted to Mt A for a 36 hours drip during my 8th week due to non-stop vomiting (yah, the green gastric juice and the yellow bile juice plus some blood stains joined in the fun). Just Bad.
And of ‘cos my hubby had some non-peaceful moments with his ears because of my constant whining, crying and complaining :p
Thankfully I am better now, the ALL DAY sickness started to take a vacation on some days and return on other days. Even though I wished they never return to find me, but having them taking a vacation is better than hosting them every single day.
And I missed food! It’s so much different from Dawn’s time, where I have no craving when having the morning sickness. This time, I craved for food! Miserable issn’t? Craved for food but yet cannot eat them because of their taste or smell.
I missed the Egg Pratas…
And the hot curry….
And Laksa!
And fries with MEAT and more meat!
And BBQ Meat, Long John Silver, KFC, and the list went on and on…
I better watch my weight when my appetite improves 😮
Dawn had her first field trip to the zoo with her classmates and schoolmates!
She was actually supposed to go to the zoo with her previous childcare, but due to the outbreak of HFMD, the school postponed the trip. It was fortunate that in her new childcare, they actually arranged the zoo trip too!
Dawn was so excited with her trip! She sat with anticipation in the coach, and also allowed me to put on the seat belt for her. The bus was filled with excited voices from the kids and they started clapping and cheering when they saw the Zoo Signs.
Dawn with her schoolmates and the parrots.
It was a short trip….we managed to pass through the White Tiger exhibit, the otters, some monkeys because they ran around, the Splash Show and the Elephant show. And after which we headed back to the school. On our way out, the train of kids had all turned quiet as compared when they first stepped into the zoo. I guess all are tired.
Dawn fell asleep when she went up to the coach. Guess it must be a tiring trip for her.
