Passed by @kimukatsusg at Taka and #dabao the cheese tonkatsu for the kids. Didn’t know that the meat is form by many layers! Crispy at the outside and soft in the inside. The kids definitely enjoyed them! (I only get to tax 1 piece! 😹)

I started my retirement planning in my late 30s and it was a very stressful and complicated process :

💰 Stressful because when you read online forums, blogs and discussions, many people talk about retirement amount in millions - how many of us with kids can actually save up to this amount?

💰Complicated because not only do you have to decide what retirement lifestyle details you desire and how much it will cost you, but also taking stock of all assets and liabilities to get a clear picture of your current financial state.

If only @aiasingapore Retirement Calculator was available then because it is so easy to use! By answering less than 10 simple but important questions on areas such as basic information, retirement needs and existing savings, the calculator computed my estimated retirement goal amount and the shortfall amount. What I ❤️ the most is that the site has a little guide to help me estimate the amount that I will need to retire comfortably every month according to my preferred retirement lifestyle.

When we are young with so much of life still ahead of us, it’s easy to forget we are at our peak earning potential to set aside what we desire - before other life responsibilities (and bills!) reach us. Planning early gives us more time to reach our retirement goals - If I had started just 5-10 years earlier, it means I have more time to compound my savings and investments!

One of our favourite family restaurant because we love the chicken wings 😋 - crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Glad that the wings are still warm (and crispy!) when the food arrived. Also love the side dishes such as the broccoli, spinach and corns!

Ah, now I know! I don’t know about you, but I am always confused with the different types of flour - top flour, all-purpose flour, cake flour - you name it! I’m so glad that I learned this useful tip from one of @schoolofperfectbakes complimentary online baking lessons!

I am a newbie when it comes to baking. Baking once a year during Chinese New Year doesn’t really help in polishing my baking skills. @schoolofperfectbakes structured online baking lessons explains and demonstrates clearly how to get those perfect bakes! There are also 4 different categories of baking lessons, from basic to professional levels. I’m sure I can bake with more confidence after going through all these lessons! Looking forward to more frequent baking sessions with the girls!

We miss Korea so much! Anyone too? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I really wonder when can we travel there or anywhere safely again 🤔? For now, we can only immerse ourselves and experience Korea through K dramas and Running Man, and I’m so glad to have @viusg Premium!

Who misses flipping the IKEA catalogue? I do, even though I support the removal of the annual printing totally! But I still remember those times which I looked forward to the new catalogue in my letter box and find it super therapeutic to flip through the pages 😆.

Anyway, it’s been a while since we had the meatballs and chicken wings from IKEA restaurant and off we went to #dabao them! Bring your own containers or top up $1 for each reusable container that they provide.

Oh ya, the fish and chips has nacho cheese on it! But I can’t find the nacho cheese in their food market. Wonder whether they sells them 🤔.

The pasties in the Swedish food market are quite good too! Bought them for next morning breakfast.

First time trying @waacowsg and no regrets. The mentaiko , original and the truffle wagyu beef bowl are 👍. I don’t usually enjoy beef because I m overly sensitive to the smell, but I polished the whole bowl clean 😂. The beef are perfectly seasoned and there’s so much pleasure to savour every mouthful 🤤🤤

Eva who had the braised butadon also said that she wants the beef bowl if we order the next time 🤩
