Dawn’s Big Doll house – Sylvanian Families

It’s been 2 months since Dawn slept on her own in the room and we were off to buy the present which we promised her from the beginning.

So this is what she chose….

Eva is One!

A long over due post because this bzmommy saved this under draft and forgot all about it 🙁

Eva is one! In March, ie. 😀

As the same practice we had for Dawn, we had a small family celebration.  My in-laws cooked up a fabulous lunch and my parents and sisters came over to my place for a small celebration.

Look at the food! Are you feeling hungry already?

Dawn’s Amazing Drawing!

Sometimes I just love the surprises that the children give (of cos the pleasant ones).

I was working at home while Dawn was flipping the Jumbo English exercise book which I bought for her.  About 30 mins after, she came to me and said “Mummy, I finished my homework.”

And this page truly surprised me :

Don’t you like the chicken, the rabbit, the turtle, the cat and the frog head?

I am really so proud of her! She used to be so afraid to draw because of the “afraid of wrong” and the “don’t know how to” reasons.  It was really difficult to make her to write or draw and we had to encourage her alot. Her school teachers had to teach her to discover on drawing and writing, and I am really glad that she is so confident now.

And she sure can draw better than me! I can’t even draw a chicken!

Steps on her own!

Eva had been walking (instead of crawling) since she was about 8-9 months old.  She would reach out for our hands and balanced herself with our hands as support and walked through the whole house.  We got kind of worried because she seem to be skipping the step of crawling!

Dawn walked on her own before she turn 1 year and hence I had the anxiety when Eva still wanted to rely on our hands even after she turned 1 year old. She was afraid to let go of our hands to try on her own.

And finally, she learnt to let go of her hands (It’s the “bad” mummy again, whom deliberately let go of her hands last night) and have the courage to walk!

See how thrilled Eva is, with her new found freedom!

And the excited Jie Jie…who said that she is so proud of Eva.  I guess Dawn really witness the milestones of meimei and found it amazing when meimei learns to do things which Dawn already knows how to do them all along. 🙂

My Poor Dawn

Bzmommy had been really busy these few weeks or months.  Was mostly awake at 7.15 am and work till 12am most days and these are still so many things left undone behind my head.. but I think even though I am living with such a busy schedule, I am still happy because efforts do reap rewards (both tangible and intangible ones).

My poor Dawn had been coughing since January and she was recommended to go though treatment….

And this is really my poor darling 🙁 Hope she gets well soon and this will not happen to her again.

Peek-a-Boo

Best game ever, for babies!

Not sure when it started, it seems to be the best game to play with babies is Peek-a-boo…and all or most babies will react and enjoy this game.

Same goes to little Eva…and @ 10 months, she started playing the peek-a-boo game to us too…using not hands, but everything she can use to cover her face/eyes…
