Sniff Sniff
人不为己,天殊地灭
This is what I felt so strongly.
Foolish, stupid, silly goose, dumb are what I can only describe myself as.
Work is NOT about being efficiently and knowing your things well. It’s about acting you are busy, care for your own survival and act as if you still have teamwork.
I’m disgusted. Very. Period.
Dawn’s new toy
It’s always my personal belief that kids need not be overly showered with those “branded” toys. Why are we teaching our own kids about BRANDED stuff from age 0? However, I cannot deny that most branded toys had more considerations on the safety aspect, but this is not my point today. We should buy moderate quantity of toys, and not all must be branded lah…
I myself did not buy alot of toys for Dawn, and even if I buy toys, I realised those “Ma Sa Ma Sa” from those neighbourhood shops are equally good. Yes, some toys had branded themselves to provide high education value…but, kids can learn words and their ABC from other settings too right? Anyway, branded toys are too expensive for me to buy them…I will go broke if everything she’s playing now are branded. The only good buy which I am satisfied with, is the Sesame Street Driving Simulator toy which I bought from Malacca at 70% off! It’s only about S$9 :p
I think most kids can turn the things which they see day to day as their fun toys. They are more curious in exploring such things rather than those toys which they get bored after awhile. At least this is very true for Dawn. So besides her toys in her big toy box, she likes the clothes pegs, the newspaper, the telephone, the remote controls, my water bottle, empty boxes, my mum’s house slippers and the list goes on…basically anything that can interest her in the house.
So, her lastest toy. Let me present, the Kung Fu Dawn Dawn.

Nirai Kanai
I remembered that I came to know about this restaurant at Tanglin Shopping Centre because of Dear. He brought me there last year, and I fell in love with the atmosphere and food there.
Just last month, we decided to have lunch with Jimmy & Novene at this restaurant, but when we reached Tanglin Shopping Centre, it was closed! They had stopped serving lunch over at this branch and we had to go to the other branch which is at Liang Court.
It seems alittle crowded when we reached, and we were told that they can only serve set lunches and very few ala cart dishes can be ordered. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to have the pork belly noodles but it was not in the set menu.
I ordered the Okinawan Noodle set, which came with a bowl of noodles with pork, a bowl of rice and a peanut beancurd. The noodles were not as good as the pork belly noodles I had before, and it was not well-cooked when it was first served to me. When we alerted the waiter, he was quite apologetic and went to exchange another one for me. The rice was yummy yummy! No other words to describe :p And what was worth mentioning, in my opinion, was the peanut beancurd. It was so soft, and it had this very unique taste. Very nice!

Dear had his favourite Champloo, which is bitter gourd cooked with pork. It’s a signature dish in Okinawa.
↑ Champloo Set
The most important dish one must have when they patronised this restaurant is the stewed pork belly. Each slice is cut into that perfect size; the thickness is just nice to let you have that “shiok” feeling when biting onto it…heavenly!
↑ Stewed Pork Belly .. though the single vege display made it looks so funny… -.-;

And how could we forget about having some Asahi with the meal? Even though it’s not the perfect ideal meal which I expected to have in Nirai Kanai, but the beer and the companionship made it good enough.
↑ Bucket of Asahi!
Little Princess
Ewwww~
My Goodness! Half a month of no entries.. Not that I am having that “blog drought”…but I was too busy with everything else and ended up too tired at night to even log in to write.
I went away to Malacca for some work matters for a week too. Initially thought that I could have some time to upload some photos taken in Malacca, but I was so wrong. Had to work till late at night most of the days over there..for those slightly early nights (which is 9ish or 10ish pm), I would just want to hit the bed and snore..heh 😀
Just a note here that I am still around, alive and kicking. Will upload photos and write more about the trip, my little girl and everything else soon!
Dawn and her doll
Dawn has reached the stage where she started to show interest with dolls and cute soft toys. When she was a few months old, soft toys had no effect on her. She showed no interest on them and will always reach for other toys first.
I bought her a bath tub play set the other day and inside the play set, there’s a naked doll inside. She loves the doll and will bath and feed the doll milk (with the fake milk bottle of ‘cos!).
Managed to capture this shot and I love it! Nice Shot!
Cute Animation
Cindy sent me this link..very cute leh!
It’s not easy to create a nice flash…I learnt the basic and had done some simple animation before. Can make me become crossed-eyed de! Have to count the bars (aka the timeline), have to create the symbols, make them move…aiyo! But it’s quite fun actually.
Kudos to those who can do such beautiful and cute animation!
