Eczema is something I lived with since I was 1 day

Eczema is something I lived with since I was 1 day old. Yes, you read it correctly - since the day I was born. I had been a long-time patient in National Skin Centre and was officially discharged when I was 20. However this does not mean that my eczema is gone, just that it’s under control with creams and medication.

When I was pregnant with my girls, my utmost worry was that my eczema condition will be passed on to the kids. I even imagined and replayed an image of hugging a baby with eczema so that I can better prepare myself 😔. I’m so thankful the girls did not come to this world like me, with a full body of eczema.

1 week after the staycation and still looking at t

1 week after the staycation and still looking at the pool photos 😂 happy times are always sweet memories.

Glad that the 2 sisters have some fun time together, and not quarreling 🤪. It’s very heartwarming to see them swimming, chatting and laughing together.

Love @oakwoodpremieramtdsingapore infinity pool - because it’s not crowded during the both time slots we went 🤩. It’s not sunny too! Oh, love the bathrobe that’s provided in the apartment because it’s so soft/comfy and kept us warm and dry after the swim.

This is our first staycation together after 8 long years! it’s really a long while 😂.

I love a clean house but I dread doing the chores.

I love a clean house but I dread doing the chores. With COVID cases on the rise, my weekly part-time cleaner has also stopped coming to my place. Sad. 🥲

But thanks to @christinekct for sending this bundle of @norwex.singapore cloth and cleaning paste over, they have certainly made the cleaning up an easier one this week!

😍 EnviroCloth is an all-purpose cloth that cleans almost any kind of surfaces. I used it to clean my stove after cooking. By just using water, there’s no more grease or stains on my stove. 🤩

😍 Veggie and Fruit Scrub Cloth is my personal favorite! This is a 2-sided cloth - the rough side for scrubbing and the smooth side for polishing. Love this because I can stop using kitchen paper towels to dry the fruits for Eva’s school snackbox! And I can be sure that the last residue of dirt and wax on the fruits/veg are 100% removed. Swipe left for the video which I used a blueberry to show the polishing effect. 🤩

😍 The Window Cloth leaves my bathroom mirrors sparkling clean with NO watermarks or tiny fibre strands. And the best part? I used only water with the cloth! Can say bye 👋🏼 to glass cleaning agent liao! Too bad I can’t get a good picture or video as the lighting was quite bad in my bathroom. You really have to try it yourself to see the results! 🤩

This staycation was supposed to happen in June to celebrate our wedding anniversary + his birthday. It’s ok, at least the staycation finally happen this school holiday 😂.

Love that the @oakwoodpremieramtdsingapore apartment is well equipped and we have plenty of living space to roam around. It’s probably cheaper for us to get this apartment instead of 2 hotel rooms too …. The kids are too big now to squeeze into the same bed with us 🤣 and most hotels only allow max 3 adults. #kidsareteensnow

This staycation comes with a @playnationsg play box too but it took quite a while to arrive in our room despite calling up the hotel reception. Thought it should already be in the room when we check-in.

Breakfast are 3 set choices, wjth pastries and fruits served separately. How I miss breakfast buffet 😢 ! Do you?

I’m always at the look out for easy-to-prepare food so that I can quickly fix up a meal for the family whenever I’m busy.

Bought these @shanlee.sg frozen DC Tastutage Chicken and Nanban Chicken and they are so easy for me to prepare a simple yet authentic Japanese meal. I simply pop them into the oven and prepare salad & miso soup while waiting.

So much has changed over the years! And one of the major changes is our dependency on our mobile phones and constant connectivity. While I’m against giving a mobile phone to my kids when they are in primary school, it is inevitable when the eldest girl entered secondary school last year.
